Engagement, Wedding and Anniversary Announcements in The Courier Engagement, Wedding and Anniversary forms are available at The Courier, 701 West Sandusky Street, Findlay, Ohio 45840. They are also available online at www.thecourier.com. If the engagement form is turned in to the newspaper at least 60 days prior to the date of the wedding, a picture of the couple of bride-to-be can be used with both the engagement announcement and wedding announcement. If the engagement announcement is turned in to The Courier less than 60 days prior to the wedding date, only one picture can be used. Couples may choose which picture they want used. The Courier WILL PUBLISH ALL WEDDING ACCOUNTS SUBMITTED TO THE NEWSPAPER WITHIN 45 DAYS of the wedding date. A full report of weddings will be used if the information is submitted within 14 days of the wedding. Reports submitted more than 14 days after wedding will be condensed and REPORTS SUBMITTED MORE THAN 45 DAYS AFTER THE WEDDING CANNOT BE USED. A picture of the couple of the bride will be used with all wedding stories. (If The Courier published a picture with the couple's engagement announcement there must be 60 days between the engagement announcement and the wedding.) In the wedding story, The Courier will use the names of parents as furnished by the bride and bridegroom. The newspaper will not, however, knowingly print false information. If a person is a stepparent, the newspaper will list the person as a stepparent, not as a parent. Send the anniversary form 7-14 days before anniversary date to allow time for publication. Announcements are considered ready for publication as soon as they are received. Announcements run as space becomes available. Publication dates cannot be guaranteed. Recent photographs may be included for 50, 55, 60 or more years. Wedding photographs are not accepted. Black and white photos are preferred, but many color photos can be used. Check with the newspaper. The Courier reserves the right to reject any photograph submitted for publication. If you do not have a suitable picture available, The Courier will take engagement and wedding photos at the newspaper's office.
